Are You Hungry for Football?

Who will you be cheering for this weekend?

Football season is well underway. The Ravens are 3-0, first in AFC North, and Joe Flacco’s arm seems as steady as ever.  Whether you’re rooting for the Baltimore home team, or your allegiance lies somewhere else, no one can resist a good game. This weekend, as you gear up to watch the birds battle the Oakland Raiders, consider throwing a party to get your friends and family in the football spirit.

Double-Check your Television

Unlike other parties, your football viewing will be centered on your television. Ensure that your television is large enough to be viewed by everyone in attendance. If your television is on the smaller side, just make sure that it can be easily viewed by everyone. This might require mounting it on the wall or a television stand. Make sure that you have the necessary channels to view the game, and invest in surround sound so that your guests can have the full game time experience.

Food, Food, Food

Football parties are all about the food, and lots of it. Prepare for game day with appetizers, dips, and the fan favorites. Nachos, three-layer dip, and chili are perfect party starters. These cheesy, spicy comfort foods remind party guests of the tailgating events they attended in college. Make the appropriate substitutes for any guests with diet preferences!

Pizza, hot wings, and sausages are the perfect game day main course. You’re not going to want to run a marathon after eating a football meal, but you will be fully prepared to cheer on your team. Treat your guests to home-grilled Italian sausages or order delivery! Game day is about taking your time. Sip your beverage of choice as you bet on the final score.

Football Treats!

Delight your guests with treats specific to the team you’re rooting for. Football cupcakes and brownies are always a fan favorite. If you want to go the extra mile, put out candy on the table for your guests to enjoy during every quarter of the game.

At Wockenfuss, we’re just as excited for football as we are for fall. Check out our chocolate specialties like our Football Nonpareils. These purple and white chocolate sweets are a rich delight to savor during the game.
