About Our Dog Treats

If you think you love Wockenfuss candy, imagine how your dog will feel! We begin with a delicious MilkBone® dog biscuit, which is then dipped in a decadent peanut butter or vanilla coating. The biscuits are then packaged 13 to a bag, sold as a “Barker’s dozen!” If your dog can’t choose which flavor she likes best – don’t worry, they’re sold together as well as separately! Our dog treats do not contain cocoa, so in addition to being scrumptious, they’re also perfectly safe for your dog to eat.

Dogs and Chocolate

Now that you’ve been reassured that these sweet dog treats don’t contain any ingredients that could be harmful to your furry friend, you may be wondering – so what do I do if my dog gets a hold of some of my chocolate treats? You may not know it, but consuming chocolate can be deadly to dogs. If your dog gets into your secret stash of chocolate covered Oreos or the box of gourmet truffles you got for your birthday, you need to act fast.

If you think your dog ate even a little bit of chocolate, call your vet right away. He will want to know how much your dog ate, what kind of chocolate it was, and how big your dog is. Depending on your answers, he might instruct you to make your dog throw up or watch her behavior closely – or you may have an emergency on your hands. Be on the lookout for these warning signs that your dog may have consumed chocolate and needs the attention of a vet right away:

•             Extreme thirst

•             Diarrhea

•             Too much energy

•             Pacing

•             Panting

•             Shaking

•             Seizures

These signs can take up to 12 hours to show up. Remember to always keep your Wockenfuss chocolates safely out of the reach of your pets and instead opt to treat them with our delicious peanut butter and vanilla dog treats!
